Community Involvement

Local people played an essential role in the Newton’s Place Project, suggesting ideas for the new museum displays, attending consultation events, producing artwork for the converted building and donating time and funds to the project.

We hope that Newton’s Place will be a valued resource for the local community for many years to come.

There are many opportunities to become involved in the activities on offer including attending workshops and events, choosing the next Object of the Month, putting on a display of your collections in the ‘Your Space’ case, giving a 5-minute talk on your favourite historic subject in the museum, or running an exhibition in the community rooms.

See What’s On for more details or contact us with your ideas – we’d love to hear from you!
