Cultural Quarter
The Cultural Quarter links heritage and community within the town centre. It flows from Newton’s Place to St Leonard’s Tower, on to Golden Lion Square and finishes at the Passmore Edwards Centre (Newton Abbot Library).
Newton Abbot Museum and the Passmore Edwards Centre (PEC) have a strong relationship and work together on a variety of events and exhibitions. St Leonard’s Tower is an important landmark for the town and is all that remains of the medieval chapel of St Leonard’s. Golden Lion square was refurbished in 2016, providing seating, landscaped planting, art installations and a small performance area.
